Palm Tree Basin Formation
Palm Tree Basin Formation is the process of removing part of the soil surrounding the palm trunk (in a circular basin shape) to improve root aeration, reduce surface soil salinity, and facilitate irrigation and fertilizer distribution.
Objectives of Trunk Shaving:
-
Improve aeration in the root zone
-
Remove accumulated salty soil around the trunk
-
Prevent trunk base rot
-
Ensure water and fertilizer reach the active roots directly
